Cattywampus Tested: True Jackson VP DVD Giveaway!
What kid doesn’t imagine what it would be like to live in a grown-up world and even dominate it? I know that I did. I’d imagine myself as a private detective solving the most difficult of crimes in my small hometown.
True Jackson V.P., a great little show on Nickelodeon, lives out that kid dream episode by episode. Jackson is a tween fashion designing superstar who finds herself discovered and the vice-president of her own fashion label at the ripe old age of 15.
In a nutshell, True Jackson V.P. is a silly comedy in the vein of iCarly and Zack & Cody. But, lose the fast-pace of iCarly and the smart-mouthed wise-cracking kids found in Zack & Cody, and add in some great little moral lessons that play out in each episode and you have True Jackson, V.P.
I am a Keke Palmer fan, as you can probably tell from my movie pick the right sidebar of this blog. I think she’s a great little dramatic actress with a lot of potential as she grows up. It’s interesting to see her in the comedy realm and she holds her own. The ensemble cast and office environment make this show feel like a kids version of say, “Just Shoot Me” or “NewsRadio.” It’s fun humor all wrapped into 30 minutes all with a valuable lesson for kids roled in. What Mom can’t appreciate that!
